TAFE NSW delivers Power Engineering training

Canadian based firm Pan Global Training Systems Ltd has cemented a partnership with TAFE NSW – Riverina Institute and is excited to be able to deliver the Fundamentals of Power Engineering training to Australian industry in 2007.

‘This is such a tremendous opportunity,’ said Doug Porritt, Business Development Manager, Riverina Institute. ‘It’s the only training of its kind currently on offer in Australia, and it will give Australian Power Engineering a competitive edge on a global scale.’

The program provides training that will help employees improve productivity and safety, and generate less waste.

Q:

Need a competitive edge in your production plant?

A:

Ask TAFE NSW about their new training program for power engineering.

‘This program can be customised to meet each individual workplace needs, whether that be for the mining industry, manufacturing, electricity or water,’ Mr Porritt said. ‘Essentially, it’s for operators of steam boilers, turbines and plant and machinery systems that generate electricity and power industrial processes.’

He said the Institute had several decades of expertise in education and training services and taps into worldwide resources to deliver the very latest in best industry practice. This, coupled with the knowledge of staff who have many years industry experience, means the Power Engineering program can be tailored specifically to meet the needs of individual organisations.

‘Our program offers a three stage delivery model that meets the current demand of fast and efficient technical skill development, including tuition and access to books,’ Mr Porritt said.
‘We deliver the underpinning knowledge and skills that are the foundation of understanding how to operate effectively in this area.’

Riverina Institute’s new training initiative will give Australian production plants a competitive edge.
